Why is it important to drink water?
The human body is comprised of approximately 60% water. Your body needs water for a variety of functions including regulating body temperature, transporting oxygen to cells, transferring nutrients to organs, cushioning joints and removing wastes. The dehydrating effects of products such as coffee, alcohol, and soft drinks and daily life activities reduce the water in your body. Therefore, it is crucial to continually replenish your water reserves. Click here to find out more about Roaring Spring Water and how it will benefit your health.

What are the different types of bottled water?
Roaring Spring Water offers a variety of bottled water choices to fit your needs. We understand that everyone''''s taste is different, and we strive to give you the highest quality bottled water. The three different types of water we offer include: premium spring water, purified drinking water, and steam distilled water.
Premium Spring Water: Our Spring Water comes from an underground formation where water flows naturally to the earth''''s surface. For water to be qualified as spring water, it must be collected at the spring or through a borehole tapping the underground formation which feeds the spring Click here to read more about Roaring Spring Premium Spring Water.
Purified Drinking Water: Our Purified Drinking Water is a type of water that has been treated with processes such as distillation, deionization or reverse osmosis after coming from our spring. Click here to read more about Roaring Spring Purified Drinking Water
Steam-Distilled Water : Our Steam-Distilled Water has been vaporized into steam, and then cooled to re-condense it back into water. The water''''s minerals are left behind, leaving only pure-tasting, steam-distilled water. Click here to find out more about our steam distilled bottled water.

How is bottled water different from tap water?
Bottled water is produced, distributed and categorized as a packaged food product by the FDA. Since bottled water is specifically made for drinking, bottled water must adhere to FDA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
GMPs require that bottled water containers are produced in a sanitary environment and are packaged in safety sealed containers that are approved by FDA for food contact. When you drink Roaring Spring water, you can be confident that your water is safe! In addition, bottled water products are also subjected to FDA food recall, misbranding and food adulteration provisions. Click here to read more about the bottled water we offer.
Taste is another reason people choose bottled water over tap water. Chlorine is often used to disinfect tap water and can leave a Chlorine aftertaste. Roaring Spring Water uses ozonation, a form of supercharged oxygen and ultraviolet light as its final disinfecting agent, which does not leave an aftertaste.
Bottled water provides people with consistent safety, high quality, great taste and convenient portability. To help ensure that bottled water is safe and of the highest quality, all IBWA members use one or more of the following steps including source protection, monitoring, reverse osmosis, distillation, filtration, ozonation, and disinfection. As a member of the IBWA, we perform all recommended steps.

How do I know my bottled water is safe?
Bottled water is regulated at the federal level by the FDA and at the state level by state agencies. By law, the FDA standards for bottled water must be at least as strict and protective as public health standards set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for public water systems. In addition, members of IBWA must meet strict industry standards required by the IBWA Model Code. The Model Code developed by the IBWA in numerous cases is stricter than FDA, state or EPA''''s public drinking water standards. To help ensure that bottled water is safe, all IBWA members are required to use one or more of the following practices: source protection and monitoring, reverse osmosis, distillation, filtration, ozonation and ultraviolet light.
Roaring Spring Water goes to great lengths to ensure that their customers have the safest, highest-quality, premium water through our Roaring Spring Water Quality Assurance Program. Click here to read more about Roaring Spring Water''''s Quality Assurance Program.

What causes water coolers to leak?
When a leak appears from a bottled water cooler, 99 times out of 100 the leak is from a defective water bottle.
The reason the bottle may leak is because after many cycles of cleaning and sanitizing, polycarbonate bottles can sometimes develop a tiny fracture or a pinhole. While a bottle with a small fracture or a pinhole may initially hold water, once it is placed on a cooler and the water level drops during use, it cannot hold the vacuum which develops. Without the vacuum, the water will not remain in the inverted bottle.
(back to questions)
How do I determine if the bottle is leaking?
To determine whether a bottle is leaking, remove it and check the cooler reservoir. If the reservoir is full, leakage is probably due to a fractured bottle. To confirm this, allow the cooler to sit without the bottle and without anyone using it for a couple of hours. If the water remains the same in the reservoir, the bottle is defective. You will have to replace the bottle on the cooler.
Please return the damaged bottle to your bottled water distributor or to your route salesman on delivery after marking it prominently with the word ''''LEAKER''''. The bottle will be taken out of production and recycled into other products.
